Vinal School Music

Kathy Medairos currently teaches in the Norwell Public Schools District at the William G. Vinal Elementary School.  She graduated from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst receiving a BM cum laude in music education piano/voice/instrumental as well as a minor in psychology. Miss Medairos is currently pursuing a Masters in Music Education from The Boston Conservatory.  She has spent the last four years teaching K-5 general music, band, and chorus along the South Shore. In her first year of classroom teaching in 2010 and again in 2012 Miss Medairos was chosen by her peers to receive “The Rookie of the Year Award” for excellence in teaching given by The Plymouth County Teachers Association.
Miss Medairos is also a highly sought after piano/voice teacher. She holds a private studio consisting of students age 5-18. These students participate successfully in events such as Jr. and Sr. Festivals, SEMSBA, and All State, as well as earning lead roles in musicals and ensemble performance.
